    Argh. I agree with staying close to the head but committing this way means the source control history is buggered up (too many trivial changes). The worst cases I've seen were where non-compiling code was checked in and it was basically thought of as a fancy backup drive. You're not doing that but this technique would drive me spare still. To me the right size is about a single Jira.

      I rarely get the luxury of working on one JIRA at a time. I am usually hopping across multiple JIRAs, issues, etc as a normal part of my day. If I get too many changes across too many files, I usually just revert everything so I don't check in anything damaging.
