Discussing Republican Models: G\'Day Cam,
Thanks for linking to my post. I basically copied the article in The Sunday Age
\"Republican model \'critical\'\"
to draw attention to it. Yesterday I also looked at the Wikipedia entry for
Australian republicanism
and added a link to the page. The Wikipedia entry included the McGarvie Model as a Copernican one, but I don\'t think that it is.
I think that you are correct about the need to now start debating about models. The new
Copernican Models
represent a possibility for bringing the topic back into the public agenda. David Latimer, as you know, has done alot of work on these new models.
